  Primadonna II is Elitemare!!!
Today I got notice of the VZAP, that my beloved "Primel" got the highest award for a mare by the VZAP: Elitestute Primadonna (Estopa Son x Prometida) was born 1990, bred by Heinz-Rüdiger Merz at the famous Om el Arab-stud Germany, where she lived 11 years and had 5 foals. 1991 she was shown twice at international shows. October 2002 she moved to our Wasserschloss-stud, was trained under saddle and did 7 Endurance rides in 2003 and 2005 for her Mares Performance Test. Here she gave birth 7 beautiful foals, her last 4 by Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man being something really special in looks and performance. At the age of 22, we presented Primel at the Marbach show, where she was given the award of Premium Mare by the VZAP. Now, at the age of 26 Primel is fit, loves to run and buck, and is eager to be ridden. She is one of my favorit ridinghorses, cool, reliable in every situation and so easy to handle. May she enjoy my soul for many more years, our Elitedarling! |

The time "between the years" gorgeous springtime weather allowed us to work our young horses: Sarhan was wrapped in a blue plastic foil (he loves to play funny things), Khuzama and Priscilla were worked from the ground and enjoyed lounging, Gamara (cool lady) and Rafiq (my "sofa" because of his smooth gaits)were started under saddle. All five horses were so eager doing a good job! They just loved all the attention and looked very sad, when their human teachers decided, it was enough for the day. It is usually considered to be a reward for the horse to stop work, with our horses this seems to be rather a punishment. Stop working, we had to reassure them repeatedly, that they in fact did a great job and that we will continue the next day. Too bad, ice and frost forced us into a break now. But we sure will continue, when the ground is more suitable again. |

 Some Endurance Statistics at the End of the Season
In 2015 7 horses from our breeding started at 22 endurance rides and finished 21 rides! Only WW Qamea (Mieke Schmid) had to give up at one ride because of a toothache! All the other horses finished all their rides: WW Ajalla ( Uli Weckenmann), WW Basheera (Mieke Schmid), WW Dhakiya ( Sabrina Kreppel-Geisler), WW Pablo Picasso ( Kathrin Haar), WW Primabella (Michael Waldmann), WW Raqqas (Thomas Wiegand), 18 x Top Ten: 3x1.pl., 2x2.pl., 8x3.pl., 1x4. pl, 1x5. pl., 3x8.pl. We are verry happy, that "Wasserschloss-Horses" show such excellent performance! But of course, they are lucky, to have dilligent riders who take qualified care of their horses.   Glorious End of a phantastic Endurance Season
When the mountains of the Swabian Alb were clad in lush autumn collors,the Kitzesbühl Endurance was started. 53 riders started over different distances from 40 to 120 km. 7 horses were from our breeding and had a real home run. They all finished the race, 6 in medall ranges! LK I WW Dhakiya (Soufi x Dschamilja) with Sabrina Kreppel-Geisler 40km 1. Pl Zoran (Soufi x Santana by Scha Ze Man) with Ronja Schreiber 50 km 3. Pl.  Tick Bite ends Ibis Sportscareer
Sad news, but it seems to be definite: Lyme Borreliosis/ Polyarthritis set an early end to Ibis promising endurance career. Different treatments were tried, now he is painless running on the pastures, but riding seems to hurt. What is left for him is a life as breeding stallion, to carry on his great performance genes. His offspring is typey and successful in endurance, even international. Too bad, we gave up breeding arabians for several reasons, so Ibi, who left us 3 gorgeous daughters in the stable, has no job at our barn. Therefore we search a new place for Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man for breeding, a good, caring place has definite priority before price.    Pfälzerwald-Endurance 128km in 2 Days-4 Reasons to celebrate
My husband Thomas as groom, my beloved Ajalla as mount, Ina Baader and her team as organiser of the ride gave me the most beautiful birthday party of my life: 60 happy and healthy years of living, 10 years of continuos finishing in endurance(I`m very proud of this!), WW Ajallas 1000km in endurance also always finished!, for me a total of 8000km in endurance. The first day, Mieke Schmidt with WW Basheera (Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man x Bashasha) accompanied us for 62km. The rest of the 84km Ajalla and I trotted alone through the autumn woods, climbing an altitude of 2000m. The next day, 44km and 800m altitude in the misty morning, Ajalla fought up to 8th place of 22 starters with 1A vetting. Thank You, my brave mare Ajalla. Back home, our stable team gave us an overwhelming wellcome- thank You so much for taking dilligent care of the other horses, while I was having fun on endurance. |

| Great Endurance Weekend with View of the alps
The ride "Tor zum Allgäu" was again perfectly organised by Ina Baader: cozy camp with gorgeous view and friendly hosts, delicious food and joyfull atmosphere. Distances from 42 to 126km over two days could be ridden. We chose to ride 2x42km: Julia Hörmann on WW Raqqas and I on WW Ajalla. The first day we were accompanied by Kathrin Haar on her WW Pablo Picasso and my long time friend Ilka Fichtel on Esprit, whose husband Jan Duvenhorst, VDD President, personally groomed all four of us so perfectly, that despite the burning heat and the rough ground our 4 horses reached a great 3rd place. Sunday Julia and I tackled another 42 km round, without crew, the sun glaring even hotter on the green Allgäu pastures. Ajalla and Raqqas were fit and eager, ignoring the heat. Just those herds of cows with bells tore at their nerves a bit. Well, we survided even cows with bells and finished 2nd place with 1A vet checks. Raqqas got two ribbons at his second endurance, for Ajalla it was the 20th race- all of them finished. We are so proud of our horses! |

| Peacefull Holydays and a Happy New Year for all friends of us and our horses
An exciting year 2014 has passed: a great time with our horses at the sea, many endurance rides, fotoshootings with our horses modelling for a fotonovell in a horsemagazin for kids ("Pferde & Co, 11/2014). Wahosidna left us for a new job she obviosly feels happy with. Rayyan left us yesterday over the rainbowbridge to the evergreen pastures because of acute heartfailure. We are very proud of the endurance results horses of our breeding achieved in 2014: 9 horses started on 28 rides and finished 26 times 1 x BC WW Qamea 4 x 1.pl., Ahad, Rheindland-Pfalz-Saarland Champion 110km 4 x 2.pl. 6 x pl 4-10, Ahad 10. international 100km Ahads daughter Nyja Bint Darija started at the Worldchampionship for Young Riders at Verona/Italy and achieved the Youth Championship for Young Riders at Baden-Württemberg over 120km Cold, snow and ice make it easy to take a break, remembering the past and planing the future. | Wahosidna goes endurance with her new owner
Only two weeks after Wausi started her new job, she went 50km endurance at Kronau with Marion. Very warm weather and a thick winter coat did not really enhance her performance. Nevertheless they came in 28th of more than 40 starters. Great!!! So for us, a great endurance season 2014 ended with fit and healthy horses. |

| 4th South German Championship and first"Star" for Ibi
At the Weissenhorn Endurance Iris Werron started Ibi on his first CEI* over 100 km, to qualify for more next year. A respectable 10th place/18 starters was the result.  Wahosidna leaves us for a new job
Monday after the endurance ride, Marion called, if Wausi was for sale, Saturday she came to test ride her and Wausi showed perfectly all qualities Marion expected from a horse for her 8yo daughter Greta. For us, Wausi signalled clearly, she wanted to go with Marion and Greta to have a new job with regular exercise, many more endurance rides, lots of caresses and a human friend just for herself. Admitted, Wausi was often neglected here with so many horses to entertain and so few riders to do it. So Wausi followed Greta without hesitation in the strage trailer and left, whinniing a "good bye" to her sad friends. Best luck and many happy rides for You, Wausi, Marion and Greta. |

| 104km Pfälzer Wald Endurance with 20 yo Wahosidna
At the end of the season I went a relaxing fun ride through the automn woods of the Pfälzer Wald with my professional endurancehorse Wahosidna. The landscape was wonderful, but the mountains for us unusually high. The warm weather, Wausis thick winter coat and lack of uphill training at home made me end the first day at km 60 to ride 44km more the next day. So we ended 7th of 15 starters with 1A vetchecks, excellent for us. At the 40km stop a mother with child came to us "Isn`t she sweet? We have been looking for a horse like this for a long time". Well, this horse is 20 years old. "Well, exactly! Experienced, calm, secure in traffic, sound legs and still fit for endurance.. the perfect horse for 8yo Greta to learn endurance riding". Do we want to sell Wahosidna, our old friend? |

| WOW! 20yo Wahosidna and WW Ajalla 2nd over 42 km
In the night before the 13th Marbach Endurace poaring rain soaked the ground and depressed the mood of horses, riders and grooms. Our two mares decided, to get this wet, wet ride over with as fast as possible and flew over the Swabian Alb, down into the romantic valley of the Lauter and with 20 km/h allong the river to finish the 42 km ride in 156 min. Even the last kilometers I had to try to slow down Ajalla, as Wahosidnas rider Christine Hüfner was in insufficient condition after a 5 year break from endurance riding. But our old endurance profesional Wahosidna took good care of Tini and just carried her along the trail. What a great horse she is! In a speed of average 16,13 km/h we came in second of more than 30 riders, only 8 min behind Iris Werron on Zarzoor. Gosh, are we happy and proud! |

  Wasserschloss Top Models
End of June the photographer Patrick Brinkschulte asked for the permission to make a photonovel at our stud with our horses. The story was to play at our farm and the renaissance watercastle with the title "Almost a Prince" - how ronantic. At a special casting the girl Marissa and our WW Rawa (Estashan x Quibriya)got the star role, Clair with Wahosidna (Scha Ze Man x Quasara) and Lennart with WW Ajalla (Soufi x Al Ambra)were to play the side parts. It took two days in hot, hot July to get all photos right for the story, which played in fall. The kids did quite some sweatting in thick garments, but they did a great job. We were so proud of our horse models! How much patience they showed, standing or walking repeatedly short distances under the young and unexperienced riders for hours. Only once, Rawa decided at 1 pm to take a break for lunch and left the set calmly towards the stable. Ok, she could be convinced for two more pictures, but then... Patrick was full of admiration for the great cooperation of our calm and obedient horses. We all had lots of fun those days and would not mind a follow up. |

| Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man 4th over 82km Endurance
After a "nauseous" ride in 2013 in Birstein, I tried again. This time over 82 km without belly ache. The trail there leads over grass paths, uphill-downhill all the time, the scenery is just marvellous. We were motivated and accompanied by Ibis trainer Iris Werron on DAS Zarzoor. Ibi trotted and gallopped easily through the mountains, it was great. For a long time we lead the field, but then we missed a turn, corrected propperly while two riders took a shortcut and finished before us- bad luck. But 4th place only 6 min after the winner is not too bad either, I was very happy with my boy.     |

The sandy trails in the woods of the Rhine valley seemed like perfect racetracks,but I was reluctant to speed through, as I feared roots and stones on the path that might hurt Ibi. So I insisted on riding carefully, allthough Iris, accompanying me with Zarzoor, a former racehorse, wanted to go for placement. Well, seven horses were eliminated for lameness, Ibi passed all vetchecks without problems and gave me a marvellous, relaxed ride, just the compensation I need for my stressfull job. | 20yo Wahosidnas Comeback on Endurance
When I saw "Wausi" so fit at Cobys birthday party, we decided to let her teach newcomer Miriam how to do endurance riding. Until 2006 Wausi did 2300km in endurance riding, won many 1st places,BCs and even more placements, a reliable finisher. At the "Hohenzollern Ride" I accompanied Miriam and Wausi on WW Ajalla. Both horses did this ride before many years ago and they went it by heart. They even knew exactly the speed, in which to go each loop, including the fast finish over the last 7 km. Horses do not forget! After a 8 year break, Wausi (Scha Ze Man x Quasara) finished 42 km with 1A vetchecks on place 26 of 47 starters. Miriam was very happy about her first endurance success, allthough she admitted: Wausi did it all by herself- well not all, I`m sure. |

| A special birthday party for 20yo Cobeilah (Scha Ze Man x Candy)
Andrea Haspel invited "Cobys" and her friends for a party to celebrate Cobys 20th birthday with a wonderfull ride through the Black Forrest in spring sun. Coby just showed off like a youngster, demonstrating her fittness in old age, even her 5yo daughter Nafila (by Soufi) was more relaxed. Andrea bought Coby as a foal at our farm, trained her herself and showed her at many endurance rides. 2009 Coby gave birth to a pretty filly, Nafila, by our stallion Soufi. We accompanied Coby with 20yo Wahosidna (Scha Ze Man x Quasara) and the young gelding WW Raqqas ( BS Specific X Quibriya). After the ride the horses indulged in fresh grass and we were treated by the sun and our friendly hosts Andrea and Frank. Without competition, we spent a wonderful day with our horses and it was great to experience the fittness of those old horses. |

| Hollidays on the beach
We spent 6 marvellous days in Belgium on the beach near De Haan. Just for fun Mieke took her seaproven WW Qamea, Verena Shari, Julia my 18 year old mare Quibriya and I took WW Ajalla all the way up north to Belgium to play in the water, galopp at the wast beach, climb in dunes, let the wind blow through manes, rest in the sun, enjoy fresh grass (the mares) or fresh fish (the ladies). At the Kruishoeve (verry recomendable!) we had a luxurious place to relax in a restored farmhouse from 1778 with garden and fireplace, the horses had boxes and huge pastures to rest from the excursions to the beach. After returning home, Quibriya and Ajalla stood at the fence dreaming of the endlessness of the sea for days. When will we go there again? I hope soon. |

| WW Khuzama came home
Khuzama (Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man x Kubasha by Kubinec) was part of the sales price for her mother Kubasha. When she was given to us at the age of 8 months, her develloppment was very insufficiant. To save her from the stress of integrating her in our herd, we sent her to the stud of the Blutbacher family, where she would be a companion for their single filly. On the wide pastures of the Swabian Alb and the loving care of the Blutbacher family, Khuzama devellopped to a fine young mare. Now her selfconfidence made her strong enough to get integrated in our herd. Thank You very much for the excellent care of our little jewel, family Blutbacher. |

 Ibi 5th over 62 km in Birstein
Now I had the pleasure to ride Ibi over the mountaneous heigths of Vogelsberg. Despite being handicapped by a terrible enteritis and being of no help for Ibi over the rather difficult track, he just carried me along to a super 5th place of 18 starters. Ibis trainer Iris Werron on Exe accompanied us and insisted on me finishing the race dead or alive! I was happy to meet Ibis 5-year old daughter WW Primabella with her happy owner and rider Michael Waldmann in Birstein. They finished "Bellas" 2nd ride 10th of 17 starters in perfect manner. We hope to hear more of Bella and Michael on their career in endurance! |

| Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man finished 3rd over 82km and BC nominated
16 riders/horses started the 82km race MyAchalteke Cup near Darmstadt. The race was perfectly organized by the most experienced Ina Baader. Iris Werron had trained Ahad to a sparkeling, well muscled athlete, full of vigour to run. They accelerated from round to round, doing the last 20 km in 64 min, finishing 3rd place in total time of 290 min. The next day Ahad felt fit for another race and was nominated for Best Condition. | Our silver Hero Soufi left us for good
Within few hours Soufi died from a colic. Until yesterday he was healthy and sound, the one and only chief of the barn(since Ibi left for endurance training).Soufi had never colicked in his life before, but then.... He was such a noble character and a great personallity, we will miss him. |

Galopping along the beach is really something special for us. From the cold, rainy South, Mieke Schmidt with WW Qamea, Verena Fleck with Shari, Julia H?rmann with WW Rawa and Uli Weckenmann with WW Ajalla started the long trip to the sunny North Sea, to take the opportunity for a galopp on the beach at this endurance ride. This race had many highlights along the way. Perfect organisation, great landscape and the sea...We had lots of fun. The trophys for 3rd place for WW Ajalla and WW Rawa were an extra bonus for the long journey. |

 Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man starts endurance career
Since November 2012 Ahad, "Ibi" (Scha Ze Man, Elite x Al Ambra, Elite), our precious sire and father of some outstanding foals, is trained for endurance by Iris Werron, successful jockey, trainer and endurance rider. On the 23rd of March Iris and Ibi went on their first 41 km ride to get qualified for international rides. They both gave a super performance. After 155min they galopped easily over the finish line (15,87km/h, place 9 of 28 starters), minimal recovery time, 1A Vet check! Although the first time on a ride, Ibi was so cool and relaxed among the croud of horses, nobody noticed, he is a breeding stallion! Just like his father Scha Ze Man in former times.  Al Ambra was nominated Elite Mare!
Al Ambra by Ibn Galal out of Azeela (1981-2022)was honoured by the VZAP with the highest award possible: Elite Mare. This title was given to Al Ambra because of her own achievements and the success of her 14 foals. After Quasara Ibn Estopa and Scha Ze Man, our former leader of the herd is the third horse awarded with this title! We are so proud! In our stable, Al Ambra lives on in her last children Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man and WW Ajalla, as well as in her happy, playfull grandchildren. |

| WW Rawa passed all Rides for the Broodmare Performance Test
WW Rawa, ridden by Julia H?rmann, accompanied by her best friend WW Ajalla (Uli Weckenmann) passed her first 62 km ride with 1A vetcheck results! A long, unneccessary detour in spite of perfect marking cost a lot of time and placement, but we were fast enough for Rawa to pass the BPT. Another Endurance tested mare for our breeding programm. |

| Soufi Offspring Baden-W?rttemberg Endurance Champion (Juniors) and Reservechampion(Seniors)
Tropical weather and a mountaneous course were a real challenge during the 120 km ride. Ronja Schreiber rode effortless to the title with Soran Ibn Santana (Soufi x Santana by Scha Ze Man) while her mother Gabi Schreiber got the reserve title on Hafida Bint Mora ( Soufi x Mora by Scha Ze Man). Both horses were bred by Gabi and they show nicely the heredability of stamina, speed and endurance. On the 49 km race a respectable 9th place (33 starters) were achieved by Julia H?rmann with WW Rawa ( Estashan Ibn Estopa x Quibriya by Scha Ze Man) and Uli Weckenmann with WW Ajalla ( Soufi x Al Ambra). |

 Primadonna II is Premium Mare
At the VZAP show for broodmares at Marbach State Stud, 19 mares were presented to compete for the title "Premium Mare", but the very strict judges selected only the four best for the title. One of them is our beloved mare Primadonna II ( Estopa Son x Prometida, bred by Om el Arab, Germany). 22 years old, endurance tested and mother of 12 wonderfull foals, she showed off in perfect shape, lots of charm and temperament. When presented her trophy, she looked proud and selfconfident, saying: I deserved it! |

| Ronja Schreiber and the Ahad-daughter Nyja Bint Daria 7th at the German Endurance Championship for Young Riders
It was the first time, Ronja started the 8-yo Nyja on 120 km. But Nyja really shot out of the last gate at km 100, full of power and energy. With a speed of 15,11 km/h she finished 7th out of 18 starters. As those two youngsters Ronja and Nyja are equally ambitious, we will sure hear more of them in the future. |

 WW Dharba will leave us soon
My bottlefed filly WW Dharba conquered the hearts of a young couple, who were looking for an arab mare for breeding and endurance riding. Dharba presented herself at her best, hoping to impress the couple- with success. At her new loving home she will have all the attention and work she longs for so badly and which we don`t have the time to give her. She will be covered by Ahad- another thing she wanted for a long time. We wish Dharba and her new owners all the best for a long future together. |

| Hohenzollern Endurance 42 km
WW Rawa with Julia H?rmann und WW Ajalla with Uli Weckenmann finished on a superb 5th place of 35 starters, 26 min faster than the same ride in 2011, 17 min behind the winner and 106 min faster than the last rider. Gabi Schreiber and her team started 6 horses on 42 km, all finished 14th place. Among them two offspring by Soufi: Soran Ibn Santana and Hafida Bint Mohra, as well as two offspring by Ahad: the debutant Nadim Ibn Nadija and the internationally qualified Nyja Bint Nadija. We are proud, that our stallions produce such powerful horses. |

| Hardyna Cup 50km
Easter Saturday the Endurance season started in Kronau in the Rhine valley. Julia H?rmann with WW Rawa and Uli Weckenmann with WW Ajalla enjoyed trotting and galopping through the woods full with blossoming cherrytrees. 57 riders started the race. We achieved a nice 26th place after a 221 min ride- not an overwhelming result, but a fun test ride. After 8 years of abstinence from endurance, Julia caught fire again and we plan already the next rides. |

 Dafina will spend New Years near Berlin
Just before the old Year ended, an endurance rider lost his faithful horse and was in urgend need for a new one. Dafina, in her calm, charming attitude conquered his heart, passed the vet check and was immediately taken to Berlin. Her herd winnied a sorrowful "good bye". She left many sad friends, but this wonderful mare will find many new friends in a second. We all wish Dafina and her new owner fun at training and endurance riding and a long healthy life together. |

| Pablo Picasso moved to Stuttgart
WW Pablo Picasso, our intelligent, witty and handsome gelding found a new owner with as much intelligence, witts and good looks- they are a perfect match! | WW Primabella found a new owner

 WW Qamea and WW Ajalla finished their first 80 km ride
In rather chilly summer wind and on sandy ground Mieke Schmid on WW Qamea ( Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man x Quasara) and Ulrike Weckenmannn on WW Ajalla ( Soufi x Al Ambra) started their horses for the first time on a long endurance ride. 42 km had to be ridden twice. Ajalla was rather confused to do the same loop a second time. Her motivation was gone, but back towards the camp it increased again, she regained speed and galloped back home. Both horses finished the 84 km with a speed of 14,05 km/h and best vet results. |

 Ahads first foal crop on endurance
Before getting registered for breeding in Aachen, Ahad gave proof of his fertility by covering two mares: Our Elite mare Quasara Ibn Estopa and Darija, a successful endurance mare bred and owned by Gabi Schreiber. In 2004 two fillies were born: WW Qamea and Nyja Bint Daria. I was very happy to see both mares at the "Hohenzollern Endurance": Nija on her very first endurance ride raced effortless the 84km to a respectable 7th place- congrats to Gabi for another fine endurance prospect in her stable! WW Qamea (O + R: Mieke Schmidt) accompanied her friends WW Ajalla and WW Rawa (R: Petra Contag) over 42km to the 13th place of 40 starters. |

The last highlight is again Om el Shabanus esotheric colt WW Sarhan by Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man. Very refined, noble and highly intelligent- a fine mixture of genes. Sorry, no fotos, as Sarhan got a swollen nose by playing some rough foal games. |

 Friday, the 13th of May- a happy day
We are not superstitious, as Friday the 13th was a marvelous day: WW Khuzama ( WW Kubasha x Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man)was born, regarding our sunny world with her huge eyes, protected by her lovely caring mother. Khuzama is Kubashas first foal and the fourth generation bred at our stud. She will carry on her mothers heritage in our stable- Inshalla. |

  Two foals in one day
This year our mares hurried up to get rid of their huge bellies. In the morning Primadonna gave birth to beautiful WW Priscilla by Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man. A 100% pure Arabian, but bay sabino! We are delighted! In the evening Quibriya gave birth to her Soufi son WW Rayyan, a colt with the attitude of the future sire. |

 DR Empfingen
After two years of abstinency I decided to try again on endurance. The week in Belgium was good training for WW Ajalla ( Soufi x Al Ambra)and me, and Mieke offered to ride WW Rawa (Estashan Ibn Estopa x Quibriya) a six year old novice on endurance. Spring weather was gorgeous, the landscape magnificent, the whole event perfectly organized- a relaxing weekend. 41 km 7. and 8. place with 1A Vet checking, nothing great, but great fun. |

 Hollydays at the beach
WW Ajalla, my friend Petra Weber and her Paint mare Hally spent a marvellous week with me in Belgium at the seaside. How great it is to gallop on the endless beach, trot through the water, let the wind fuss our hair, dream into the sunset..... Pure fun for four ladies. |

| Mieke Schmidt starts the endurance season
Congratulations to Mieke finishing the first ride of the season on the 3. and 4. place with her mares WW Wakila ( Damir el Shaklan x Wahosidna) and WW Qamea (Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man x Quasara).   Fun in the snow
This winter we had lots of snow, rather unusual for our aerea. Our horses just loved to gallop through the powder! This really kept them fit through wintertime. Apparently Mieke Schmidt and her two horses WW Wakila (Damir el Shaklan( and WW Qamea (Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man x Quasara) on the lead enjoyed it too. |

Finally the test results for CA are in: All our breeding stock is tested CA N/N, this implies CA N/N also for the young horses for sale. All clients who had their mares covered by our stallions Soufi and Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man can be sure to have a foal clear of SCID or CA. |

| Endurance
While we are busy at home to wait for foals to be born and train young horses and riders, our friends started successfully the endurance season, despite awful weather. Ronja Schreiber qualified with Qanah for the German Youth Championship by a 3rd place over 80km. Mieke Schmid started her WW Wakila in the 4th season. With an 8th place of 60 starters 50km and her first international ride 5th place 80km she kept to her tradition of ending every ride with a placement. Two of Soufis get began their sports career this year: Bred and owned by Gabi Schreiber, Hafida o.o. Mora and Zaidan o.o. Santana (successful participant of the Endurance World Championship for Young Riders 2009) finished 9th over 41km. We are happy to see horses of our breeding program showing their potential in sports- congratulation to riders and trainers. |

 Our Collection 2010 is complete
Finally Om el Shabanu was gracious enough to end my sleepless nights and gave birth to WW Shafeek by Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man, a most exotic chestnut colt. Shaffeeks huge eyes, dry, typey face, big frame and long legs, his gentle, calm attitude resembles so much his charismatic grandfather Estashan Ibn Estopa.  Big Birthday Party for WW Gamara
Primadonna just loves to be served and treated by humans. For this reason she chose a Saturday evening to give birth to her chestnut filly WW Gamara by Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man. All of Primadonnas riders were present at birth! After an easy birth of this long legged filly, Primadonna just relaxed in the straw and watched her employees rub her filly dry. It is really practical to have so many servants. Well, a Grande Dame of 20 years deserves it. |

 WW Rafiq is born
At 6 am Quibriya gave birth to a huge, long legged grey colt by Soufi. Well trained as Quibriya was, she did not even sweat in labour. Pregnant with Rafiq, Quibriya did 433 km on endurance rides last year, one of them the 5 day ride across the Swabian Alb. She taught kids how to ride and even two days before birth she galopped on a two hour ride cross country despite her huge belly. Rafiq inherited his parents sweet character, intelligence and beautiful movement. We wish Rafiq to devellop to a strong colt that will give joy to his riders. |

 Haifi el Aimara is born
On the most beautiful Sunday morning the endurance mare Haifi el Ratania gave birth to a lovely, long legged chestnutfilly with perfect built and a pretty face. Aimara is by our stallion Ahad Ibn Scha Ze Man, sire of typey, athletic horses. We congratulate Aimaras breeder and owner Edith Lipp and we wish both of them many happy years and wonderful endurance rides together. |

| WW Rabia left us for a more interesting life
WW Rabia was getting bored with life on pastures alone, she signalled increasing interest in work with humans. Luckily she found a fine place near Cologne, which matches her ambitions. She will be educated for leisure- and long trailrides. After initial nervousness, for leaving home the first time alone, she travelled well with Mr. Bauer, Taunuspferdetransport, our favorite transportation company. She arrived at her new home safely and relaxed. The same day she went for a walk in the snow with her new friends. Rabia was relaxed enough to lay down in the middle of the way - on the lead- and take a thorough roll in the snow! We wish her and her owner a long, adventurous time together. |

Bashasha just left us for Denmark Today Bashasha went on her long journey to Heidi Jessens stud RM Arabians in Denmark. Heidi plans a fine breeding programm for Golden Cross Arabians and we are proud she selected Bashasha and her halfsister WW Bijou, who lives with Heidi since 2008, as broodmares for her programm. We wish Heidi and Bashasha a long, happy time together and many beautiful Golden Cross foals! |

Soufi Salil found his lifetime companion After three months of training with Tanja Gamerdinger a nice lady came by and fell in love with this friendly, relaxed gelding- and bought him right from the spot. Salil will stay with Tanja for further training until March, when he will move to his new home. Gratulations to the new owner for the purchase of this fantastc gelding. We wish them many years of joyfull time together. Thank You Tanja, for the excellent work with Salil, You really know, how to train calm, reliable horses, which can be handled easily by everybody. |

| In Oktober 2009 WW Soufi Salil ( Soufi x Primadonna II) went to Tanja Gamerdinger to be trained for riding.
Very easily he mounted the trailer as if he was looking forward to his new job. At arrival he inspected his new stable curiously and soon found out, that he is caressed by everybody walking by, if he streches his neck far out of his box- now this is fine! From the beginning Salil worked ambitiously and concentrated whatever Tanja asked of him. On walks and little later under saddle he leaves stable and herd without resistance just to discover new things. Traffic, dogs, noise.. nothing keeps him from work with Tanja. Tanja is just delighted! Salil is on the best way to become a reliable riding horse for any kind of sports. We hope to find a nice human friend for him, who is willing to satisfy Salils curiosity and ambitions. |

 Santana and Ronja Schreiber at the Endurance Worldchampionship for Young Riders
Congratulation Ronja and Santana for your great success at this strenuous 120 km contest! Santana is the 13 yo daughter of our late stallion Scha Ze Man who himself excelled in endurance and is the sire of many outstanding endurance horses. Santanas mother is the Haflinger mare Nicki II. Santana was bred by Gabi Schreiber, owner of the Center for Therapeutic Riding in Ofterdingen, Germany. Gabis therapeutic horses go very successfully on endurance- to relax from their work. Santana was carefully trained under saddle and worked in therapy. In 2004 she had a wonderful colt by our stallion Soufi. In 2005 at the age of 9! she started her endurance carreer: 64 km, first place.What a start! Of 7 rides in 2005 she came in first three times and got Best Condition after 100 km. Up to now, Santana did 26 Endurance Rides with a total of 2195 km, 9 x 1st, 3 x 2nd, 8 x 4-10 and 3 x Best Condition. 2009 Ronja, Gabis 15 yo daughter, and Santana are members of the German Youth Team Endurance. They participated in the German Team in Babolna with excellent results. We wish You both all the Best for the Future, specially for the European Championship next year. |

Homepage Update The long neccessary update is in process. Please have a little more patience, You will soon find the actual news in the net. Since the last overall update, three mares died unfortunately: Quasara, Quahira and Dschamilja left us behind in deep sorrow. To cheer us up, new foals were born and a new mare moved in our barn 2008. Om el Shabanu (born 1999), a real treasure could be added to our breeding programm and riding horses. Within 6 months she was trained for endurance and in 2009 she did 5 rides up to 84 km in good speed and perfect vet results, although in foal to Ahad- a real arabian mare. More infos and fotos of Shabanu soon at "Mares". After 4 foals, Quibriya went back to endurance in 2009. She enjoyed the sport on long distances, specially the 5 day ride, which she finished after 215 km 17th of 36 starters. In the meantime she is in foal to Soufi. Mieke Schmidt rode her 7-year old mare WW Wakila (Damir el Shaklan x Wahosidna)on long distance. The 2nd 80-km ride Wakila finished 3rd and got Best Condition Award ! Congratulation! |

| Looking back to a successful 2003
Last years endurance season ended with fit, healthy and happy horses. 6 horses of our breeding stock did a total of 1573 km on 26 rides. This way two mares passed the Broodmares Performance Test and two others the more difficult Mares Performance Test Endurance. Now again all horses of our breeding stock passed Performance Tests. This makes me very proud. Our Endurance Team did an excellent job! Thank You very much. Alone, I could not bring our horses to such success, but with competent help it worked out fine. The riders were: the two experienced young ladies Mieke Schmidt and Julia Horrer (both did already more than 1000 km on endurance)and the novices Susanne Leutz, Sophie Kittel (14 years and going 80 km without complaint), Jasmin Kluike, Christina Baur and the only man Karl-Heinz Braitmeyer (13 years). But You need a good crew as well! My husband Thomas Wiegand is very experienced- has to be, living for years with me, and our dear friend Petra Schaub, caring for horses and riders since 3 years. For her, crewing is her favored job! Thank You very much as well. Our friends and customers were successfull too. Horses bred in our barn achieved in 2003: 2 x Best Condition 10 x 1rst place 1 x 2 nd place 5 x 3 rd place 11 x 4.-9. place 2 x Broodmares Performance Test 5 x Mares Performance Test Endurance The most successful was Quadir Ibn Masri with his owner Dr. Jan Duvenhorst. | Our arabs are easy to ride
On the 3rd of October the Ammerbuch Riding Club invited to its traditional fun-trail and mounted games competition. Among the 70 riders who participated, were five young beginners on five of our broodmares. They completed this difficult competition safely and sound at the places 18, 20, 38, 40 and 50 without accidents or catastrophies and won some nice prizes. We are proud of the ambitiuos young riders and our patient mares. |

On the 6th of September Mieke Schmidt and Julia Horrer rode the two full sisters Wahosidna (9 yo) and Quibriya (7 yo) by Scha Ze Man (Elite) out of Quasara Ibn Estopa (Elite)over the distance of 86 km together to the first place and gained the title of Baden-W?rttembergische Juniorchampions - Congratulations! The same weekend Primadonna II finished her Broodmare Performancetest Endurance on a 51 km ride in T 4,1. |

| Super Success for Wasserschloss-Arabians at the 2003 Ammertrail-Enduranceride.
10 out of 49 starters at the 34 and 56 km-rides came from our breeding and finished quite in front. Julia Horrer, our young endurance rider with experience over more than 1000 km, led a group of two beginners over the 56 km ride to a 3rd place with an average speed of 17,78 km/h and our stallion Soufi was awarded with the price of Best Condition. 56 km 3rd place Julia Horrer - Soufi Susanne Leutz - Primadonna II Jasmin Kluike - Quibriya 6th place Wolfgang Bihrer - Mia Cara Andrea Haspel - Cobeilah With this ride Quibriya completed her Brood Mare Performance Test Endurance. A group of two kids was led by Mieke Schmidt over 34 km to the first place in an average speed of 16,06 km/h, 43 min prior to the next riders! As short rides in Germany do not have winners, but only "performance groups" by riding time, they were placed in PG I: Mieke Schmidt - Wahosidna Christina Baur - Dschamilja Bint Scha Ze Man Karl-Heinz Breitmaier - Zumurud Also in PG I were riders with horses bred at the Wasserschloss: Ines Sell - Califa Bint Estawan Valentin Uhl - Amun Ibn Estopa Congratulation to the Successful Riders! | Primadonna II our beautiful bay mare by Estopa Son out of Quasara Ibn Estopa finished her first endurance ride!
When Primadonna was a yearling I fell in love with her, but she was not for sale. Twice she was successfull in show and had 5 foals. In October 2002 we were able to purchase her at the age of 12 years. In December we started riding her for the first time and within few months she was a reliable ridinghorse. In training her pulsrates were excellent so I decided to try her on endurance regardless her advanced age. She finished 12th out of 32 horses on the Mainhardterwald-Endurance, 30 km over hard, stony ground in a rather mountanious area- and all vetchecks were ok. QANAH by Scha Ze Man out of Quasara Ibn Estopa also had his debut on this difficult ride at the age of 5 years. He is owned by Gabi Schreiber and works daily in therapy with disabled children. Qanah finished 10th, two minutes faster than Primadonna and all vetchecks were ok too. As H-R. Merz used to say: Good breeding requires less training. |

| The 2003 endurance season starts successfully!
Up to now, arabians from our breeding had 23 starts on endurance rides and, except for one horse which had to quit the race because of the injured rider, all finished successfully. | Scha Ze Man is ELITESTALLION
On the 4th of April I got a writing by the German Arabian Breeders Association, that my stallion Scha Ze Man, who died in 1999, got the predicat "Elitestallion", the highest award a stallion can get in Germany. Scha Ze Man, like our Elitemare Quasara Ibn Estopa, was bred by H-R. Merz, Om El Arab, but his achievements in sports and breeding were assessed here at our stud. We are really proud, that two Elitearabians were made here at our stud and we feel reassured, that our way is right: to breed arabians with beauty AND performance ability. |
